On Jun. 11th, SASAC Chairman Wang Yong held talks with Mr. Ken Kobayashi, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Corporation.
Kobayashi reviewed Mitsubishi’s efforts in promoting China-Japan economic and trade cooperation since the two countries restored diplomatic relationship 40 years ago. He also briefed SASAC on latest projects inside and outside China Mitsubishi undertook in collaboration with central SOEs, showing a firm desire and determination to develop a stronger and more reciprocal partnership with central SOEs.
Wang said Mitsubishi Corporation as a century-old company has achieved steady growth in spite of fierce global competition and world economic downturn, presenting rich experiences in management, science and technological innovation, risk control and transnational operation which set good examples for central SOEs. During the 12th Five-year Plan period, according to Wang, Chinese government is determined to maintain its reform and opening-up policy while continuously expand domestic demand, which creates good prospect for cooperation between Mitsubishi and central SOEs in various sectors. He also hoped that the two sides could make full use of convenient communication of cultures and solid foundation of cooperation, so as to learn from and help each other in the course of comprehensively reviving the world economy.
